To Do in DC: TESTED: NOVAM Fashion show benefiting AIDS patients and providing AIDS awareness to local youth
In hope that someone will stumble across this who may be from the DC area, I'm going to post about the NOVAM fashion show that Steph is involved in. If you're reading this and you're able to get your ass to DC, I would recommend it.
TESTED is the Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry's fashion show at Nations (Nov 19th) in the District to benefit AIDS patients and help raise AIDS awareness/prevention to local youth. Fashion Designers from Marymount University and local talent will be cat walking and auctioning Haute Couture for Men and Women, Day/Evening wear for Men and Women as well as Sportswear. All ticket and auction proceeds go to NOVAM for AIDS support and awareness. Modeled by tall beautiful men and women and drag queens alike, TESTED is going to be ultra fun.
GO!!!
And finally...
The Skunk who doesn't care for his own smell. The costume was poorly made but it was effective in bearing the most questions asked about it's meaning. Although, a costume that requires a full sentance to describe it may not be a costume at all.
Chris may have the best idea of all that may remedy this issue. Rather than one person being a complex characer, have the whole group have very simple costumes that toghether will require a sentence or two to explain.
I really don't care to wear a costume that doesn't need some explanation. Unless that costume is some amazing replication of some image. Otherwise it seems boring to be a Pirate or "Superhero".
I'm not judging if you feel otherwise, its more that I can't bear making it simple
